How do I earn diamonds?

Diamonds are the premium currency in BaoLife. You can acquire them through:

  • In-App Purchases: Purchase diamond packages from the Store
  • Special Events: Complete limited-time events and achievements
  • Daily Rewards: Log in daily to earn bonus diamonds
  • Achievements: Unlock achievements to earn diamond rewards

Visit the Store tab in the app to see available diamond packages.

What is energy and how do I get more?

Energy is required to perform most activities in BaoLife. Your energy regenerates automatically over time. Ways to manage energy:

  • Wait for Regeneration: Energy refills automatically (1 point per minute)
  • Sleep: Use the sleep activity to restore energy faster
  • Speed Up Time: Use the time control feature to accelerate recovery
  • Purchase Boosts: Buy energy boosts from the Store (with diamonds)

Your maximum energy increases as your character ages and develops.

How do I restore my purchases on a new device?

To restore your purchases after reinstalling the app or switching devices:

  1. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase
  2. Open BaoLife and navigate to Settings
  3. Tap Restore Purchases
  4. Wait for the process to complete

Your diamond purchases should be automatically restored. If you experience issues, contact support with your transaction receipt.

Note: Diamonds are tied to your BaoLife account. Make sure to log in with the same account to access your purchases.

How do I delete my account?

To permanently delete your BaoLife account:

  1. Open the app and go to Settings
  2. Tap Account
  3. Select Delete My Account
  4. Read the warning and confirm deletion
  5. Your account will enter a 30-day grace period
  6. After 30 days, your data will be permanently deleted

Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone after the grace period. All characters, progress, and purchased items will be lost.

Alternatively, email us at support@baolife.app with the subject "Delete Account" and we'll process your request.

How do I export my data?

To request a copy of your personal data (GDPR right):

  1. Go to Settings > Account
  2. Tap Export My Data
  3. Wait for the export to be prepared (may take a few minutes)
  4. Download or view your data when ready

Alternatively, email support@baolife.app with the subject "Data Export Request" and we'll send you a copy within 30 days.

My game progress was lost. Can you restore it?

BaoLife automatically saves your progress to our servers. If you lose progress:

  1. Make sure you're signed in with the correct account
  2. Check your internet connection and restart the app
  3. Wait a few minutes for the server to sync

If your progress is still missing, contact support immediately with:

  • Your account email or username
  • When you last successfully played
  • Details about your character (name, age, approximate date)

We maintain backups and may be able to restore recent progress.

The app keeps crashing. What should I do?

Try these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Restart the app: Force close and reopen BaoLife
  2. Restart your device: Turn your iPhone/iPad off and on
  3. Update the app: Check the App Store for updates
  4. Update iOS: Ensure your device is running the latest iOS version
  5. Free up storage: Make sure you have at least 1GB of free space
  6. Reinstall: Delete and reinstall the app (progress is saved to the cloud)

If the problem persists, contact support with:

  • Your device model (e.g., iPhone 14 Pro)
  • iOS version (e.g., iOS 17.1)
  • App version (found in Settings)
  • When the crashes occur (during specific actions)
Can I play on multiple devices?

Yes! Your BaoLife progress is saved to the cloud and syncs across all your devices. To play on multiple devices:

  1. Log in with the same account on each device
  2. Make sure you have an internet connection
  3. Your progress will automatically sync

Note: Only play on one device at a time. Playing simultaneously on multiple devices may cause sync conflicts.

How do relationships work?

BaoLife features a dynamic relationship system:

  • Meet People: Encounter characters through activities, school, work, and events
  • Build Affinity: Interact with characters to increase relationship levels
  • Dating: When affinity is high enough, you can start dating
  • Marriage: Long-term relationships can lead to marriage proposals
  • Family: Build a family and have children

Each character has unique personality traits, interests, and preferences. Pay attention to conversation sentiment and their reactions to build stronger relationships.

What happens when my character dies?

In BaoLife, characters age naturally and eventually pass away. When your character dies:

  • You'll see a summary of their life achievements
  • You can start a new character and experience a different life path
  • Your account statistics and achievements carry over
  • Some items or benefits may transfer to your next character

Death is a natural part of the life simulation. Each playthrough offers unique experiences and opportunities.

Refunds and Purchases

How do I request a refund?

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. To request a refund:

  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID
  3. Find the BaoLife purchase you want to refund
  4. Select "Request a Refund" and choose a reason
  5. Submit your request

Apple will review your request and typically responds within 48 hours. Refunds are granted at Apple's discretion based on their policies.

Our Refund Policy:

  • All sales are final unless required by law
  • EU customers have a 14-day right of withdrawal
  • Technical issues may qualify for refunds
  • We cannot refund currency already spent in-game

Is my data secure?

Yes. We take data security seriously:

  • All connections use TLS encryption (HTTPS/WSS)
  • Passwords are securely hashed and salted
